Making a dramatic entrance hall is easy with a great dark paint colour & some wall art.
We chose to use colour throughout the house, from the bold grey/brown (Farrow & Ball, Knightsbridge) in the hallway, which is the perfect backdrop for artwork, to the statement deep purple (Farrow & Ball, Brinjal) of the dining room. The TV room opens onto the garden and has a wall of presses. We recessed the TV into these so it sits flush with the wall. Then painted all the doors the same colour (Farrow & Ball, French Grey) as the walls so they blend into the room & it feels larger. Even though the colours we chose are quite different and range from dark to light they all work well together & the flow between the rooms feels right tonally.
